Marie's (entrepreromance) plurk mutuals are welcome, but non-mutuals must have been referred by a mutual. Chances are I'm cool with you, especially if we're in the same rp stratosphere! Still, for a small game like this with potentially intense themes, I'd prefer to run it for people I can trust, so I reserve the right to reject for whatever reason.
The overall tone of Celestrials will be dark and #mariecore; this game is, by design, geared towards advocating tension between teams as they compete in trials at high stakes and creating trauma. There will also be opportunities for team bonding and ridiculous shit in between. Still, gore, violence, and body horror (especially pertaining to "losing/reattaching body parts") will be ever present. By apping you're agreeing to subject your character to some potentially nasty stuff (within your comfort limits.)
★ Do not take winning/losing seriouslyThere's nothing wrong with hoping your team wins, or being disappointed if they lose—but don't allow high-strung feelings to take the wheel. I won't hesitate to ask someone to sit out the next round of Celestrials if they made it unfun for anyone else by stressing the point of winning. Winning/losing ought to be a concern for the characters, not the players.
★ IC ≠ OOCDon't blur the lines between IC and OOC. You shouldn't be using your character as a mouthpiece for your own personal opinions, just as someone’s character being rude to yours doesn’t mean that the player has anything against you personally.
★ Join the game's discordBeing accessible and open to communication are both key in a team game with trauma and drama, so you will be required to join the game's discord server. Your invitation link will be found in the acceptance email.
★ No godmodingThis is a game where players are expected to handle a character's losses, fuck-ups, and consequences with some level of grace. If a player doesn't like that their character's actions had consequences, or insists their character can only outdo everyone and accepts nothing less, they'd need to re-examine their decision to play here.
★ No horny on mainThis game requires players be at least 18 to join, but as Celestrials isn't a sex game you must take explicit sexual content off comm.
★ Be civil, respectful, and considerateTreat others with common courtesy and respect. Please be considerate, too, in part by respecting everyone else's boundaries and marking your threads with content warnings. In addition, keep your team up to date with consequential events—if your character is going to do an irrelevant murder, give your team a head's up. Try to make sure that everyone involved has fun!
★ Meet activity requirementsFor characters it's:
1) Participation in 1 trial (alternatively: engaging in your team's team post)
2) 2 threads (one of which needs to be a teammate.)
NOTE: Thread length won't matter so long as there's substance to the threads.
For Constellations it's: give out at least 500 coins in a month.
