SETTING

Overall: You are in a replica of the Palace of Versailles, but in space. It's technically always night, but there are periods of time (very similar to Earth day/nights lengthwise) where the sky is bright and light-colored. The night-nights, however, are always very dark. Still, no matter what time of day it is, there are always stars and galaxies hanging overhead. With the exception of the team apartments, Constellations have visibility anywhere, both in and out of the palace.

The Palace: An absolutely ornate building with many ornate decorations. There are far too many rooms and halls in this palace, and it's full of random items, including things hidden in drawers or sitting plainly on tables. It's like this was once a lived in place before this competition. There are only two floors, with two teams to either side of each floor. Aside from that, it's exactly like what you'd read on wikipedia about it.

Team Apartments: Within each apartment there is a main area, outfitted with lavish seating area, a simple dining area, and a small kitchenette; it comes equipped with dishes and some small appliances. From the main area, a hall branches off into the many bedrooms—one for each competitor. Each bedroom then has its own walk-in closet and full-sized bathroom. With there being two floors to the palace, each team's apartment are found on different floors on opposite sides. Apartments are the only sanctity away from the Constellations' sight.

The Gardens: The gardens are immaculate and well-maintained; despite there being no proper sunlight here, the plants are thriving. There are many fountains, courtyards, statues, gardens, gazebos, shallow pools, greenhouses, and over two thousand different plants and trees. It wouldn't be hard to find privacy in the gardens (though the same could be said about the palace and its many rooms.) It also wouldn't be hard to get lost in the gardens.

The Outskirts: As you travel away from the palace, the more you notice a strange sense of being pulled in. The further you go, the stronger it becomes, until it's clear it's practically gravitational. It's impossible to get far before you're unable to move at all, left with no choice but to turn back.
